We tutor one on one with the student. Each student is evaluated, and we design individual plans with parents to address academic goals. We can combine this with any other program.

We tutor in groups with four or fewer children who are academically and socially appropriate for each other. We practice social skills and project-based learning in an academic setting. We can combine this with any other program. Group tutoring is done at the library.

As a parent with a child who has had an IEP since Kindergarten and an Exceptional Student Education teacher, I know firsthand the challenges and intimidation of an IEP meeting. At RET, we can help you navigate the process and advocate for your child so they get the services and accommodations the school is legally required to provide.

At RET, we know how important it is to incorporate social-emotional development, social skills, and safety skills into all that we do. We offer the option of adding the individualized skills training package to part of your child's tutoring program or as a separate program. They will practice these skills in group tutoring and/or in community-based activities.

As a parent of a child with different needs, I am acutely aware of the emotional toll and struggles that happen while parenting and loving a child with special needs. As someone with years of training and education in child development, applied behavioral analysis, and counseling, I have developed techniques and strategies to help teach these students and coach families through these challenges. At Rome Exceptional Tutoring, I offer coaching and mentoring for parents as they cope with the challenges of parenting an exceptional child. We also offer an ongoing parent support group.

At RET, we are FES-UA tutoring providers, which allows us to create an individualized tutoring program that specifically addresses the social-emotional and academic needs of your child. We evaluate areas of development, including social skills, health and safety skills, and social-emotional development. We will create this program based on your child's needs and abilities which can include individual tutoring, project-based learning, community-based learning, and group tutoring. As a FES-UA provider, our academic services DOES NOT cost families anything, but you must be a Family Empowerment For Unique Learners scholarship recipient. We will bill and submit for reimbursement from FES-UA.
